The Nested IF Analysis Tool provides an analysis of the IF Then ELSE structures
in COBOL programs.
The Nested IF ELSE Tool identifies the hierarchy level of each "IF" structure,
making it clear which ELSE goes with which IF statement. The implied terminators
(no END-IF) are clearly marked, making the implied terminators into pseudo
explicit terminators.
This COBOL tool prints a listing of the source code, and a graphic display
of the nested "IF" structures is printed to the left of the COBOL source code.
The Nested IF ELSE Tool analysis is valuable when the COBOL program contains
long nested structures, especially if they cross page boundaries and especially
if the indentation is not properly structured.
